Inspiration - My friend convinced me to make this costume when he lent me his copy of No More Heroes. I haven't completed the game, but I wanted to finish this costume in time for AX09. I worked on it the week before and managed to complete it the night before.
Motivation - The fabric was probably the hardest to find. I used the closest to the artwork that I could find. The fabric wasn't wide enough for me to make the skirt fuller, so I had to work with what I had. I had to modify three patterns to put the dress together. The Travis costume [worn by my friend Inferno] was also made by me. I ran out of time to work on the bat so he helped me paint the blood on it. I couldn't walk more than 2 steps per minute in those 5" stilettos, and after a few hours of walking in them, I lost all feelings in my feet.
